There is one thing we love about our job as wedding photographers: we get to see some of the most amazing venue’s in the UK. This year kicked off to a great start when Sarah & Andy chose to get married at Highclere Castle in Berkshire. Some of you might recognize this spectacular venue as the backdrop for ITV’s very successful period drama “Downton Abbey”. One thing we also found very interesting is that the present day Castle was designed in 1842 by Sir Charles Barry, the architect also responsible for building the Houses of Parliament in Westminster. Sarah & Andy had a small, intimate wedding and they chose to celebrate with only close family. The gorgeous kids in the images below are theirs and I’m sure you’ll agree that these kids have the most amazing smiles! Well done, Evie & Monty, you guys did such a great job on the day. Congratulations to Sarah & Anday and thank you for having us photograph this special day in your lives. We are very much now looking forward to your day of celebrations in June! Meet Anna-Belle. Something a little different and one of the luckiest dresses to ever travel the world! This fabulous masterpiece was designed by South African fashion designer, Stefania Morland and the concept behind Anna-belle was for photographers from all over to shoot this dress and after a year, she will return to her homeland and invite everyone to an exhibition where every art work, created by all the lucky-enough artists to come into contact with her, will be auctioned off for charity.
When our good friend Stefan Steenkamp from Zara-Zoo (click here to see his photos) first mentioned the idea of bringing Anna-Belle with him on his recent trip to Europe, we were of course super excited and started planning our shoot with her. And what a shoot it was! Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a success and of course to Stefania Morland – without you there would have been no Anna-belle!
So without any further ado, we would like to introduce Anna-belle…in London!
We are very lucky to do something we love so much and Meyer and I couldn’t have asked for a more exciting wedding than this one! As mentioned in a previous post, Liezl and I have been friends since primary school and when she asked us to photograph their wedding at the Woodlands Function Venue in Bloemfontein, South Africa, the answer was of course yes! Liezl got ready at the most gorgeous guest house, Slot Loevenstein, and apart from this being the perfect backdrop for photos, Liezl looked absolutely stunning! The day itself was filled with beautiful moments and hopefully when they look back at their wedding in a few years’ time, they’ll be reminded of all the wonderful memories of this special day. Guys, it has been a pleasure in every sense of the word. We love you and know you have an amazing future ahead of you as husband and wife. Thank you for letting us share in this precious day – we hope you like these few tasters.
We were so lucky with the weather on the last weekend in September when we did Hettie & Alberto’s engagement shoot around the South Bank and Waterloo Station. They are getting married in November and since we know them from church, we were of course very excited when they asked us to be a part of their special day. James & Claire’s wedding day was filled with so many wonderful moments and we are so thankful that they chose us to be a part of this special occasion.
